Borrowing items from Latourette Library works a little differently than you might expect, especially when it comes to eBooks and physical collections. Here’s a breakdown to help you understand how it works:
Borrowing eBooks
At Latourette Library, you can download eBooks from both EBSCO and the Digital Theological Library (DTL). Borrowing an eBook means downloading it onto your device for a limited time, as determined by the publisher. Once the download period ends, the eBook will no longer be accessible on your device. Download periods vary depending on the publisher and the database, so be sure to check the borrowing terms before downloading. Not all eBooks are eligible for borrowing, so it’s important to review the publisher's permissions to see if an eBook can be borrowed and, if so, for how long.
The Ralph D. Winter Research Center
The Ralph D. Winter Research Center houses unique archival materials, special collections, and reference materials. Due to the nature of these items, they cannot be borrowed or removed from the Research Center. These resources are available for on-site research, ensuring their preservation and accessibility for future scholars.
Providence Christian College Library
In addition to Latourette Library's resources, Providence Christian College offers physical materials that follow standard borrowing practices. These include circulating items and materials on Reserve. For details on how to borrow from Providence Christian College’s library, it’s best to contact them directly for specific borrowing policies.

For Instructors
Instructors may request that items be added to the Course Readings Page. Since both purchasing and scanning can take time, requests should be made as far in advance as possible to ensure timely availability.
Required and Recommended readings from each syllabi will automatically be added to the Course Readings page. Please inform the library immediately if there are any last minute changes or additions.
For Students
Easily access your required and recommended course readings through the Course Readings page. This centralized resource provides a curated selection of texts to support your studies; however, it is important to note that this page does not include every reading you may need for your course. For a complete and comprehensive list, be sure to consult your syllabi, reach out to your instructor, and check your Populi course page. Ensuring you have all necessary materials will help you succeed in your studies.
